Erica is a Master in Public Policy candidate at HKS. Prior to HKS, Erica worked as Director of Operations at Good Paper, a social enterprise that employs women in the Philippines who have escaped sex trafficking. There, she learned the value of effective and efficient execution of ideas. While working with disadvantaged populations in the Philippines, she learned the value of active listening and cross-cultural communication. Her six-month externship with Kiva, a microfinance org, deepened her interest in data-driven impact evaluation. Erica is currently interested in how philanthropy can tie together all those lessons for maximum change. Erica graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with honors in History and English. She hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. She’s a notoriously inept cook, but loves good food with good company.
