Jonathan is a prospective PhD candidate in Bioengineering in the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His current interests include the study of the effects of mechanical stimulation on tissue growth, and the intersection of robotics and medicine. Growing up in sunny Miami, Florida, he attended undergrad at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received his B.S. in Biomedical and Health Sciences Engineering from the joint Biomedical Engineering Department of UNC Chapel Hill and NC State University (but Go Heels!). While his long term goals are still unknown, he ultimately hopes to one day run a non-profit that provides free consulting for startups that are struggling with engineering design issues. Ideally, this will help bring great ideas off of the ground! In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing basketball and soccer, and watching YouTube.
