Mitch Gainer is earning a dual MBA / MPA at The Wharton School and The Harvard Kennedy School. Mitch is passionate about innovation at the intersection of business and government. He has worked as an investor in growth-stage digital infrastructure companies – specifically data centers fiber, Internet-of-Things, and telecommunications. He was a political appointee in the Obama Administration, serving as the Director for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative during the negotiation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP). Mitch started his career as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, working with clients in technology, financial services, and healthcare. Mitch has also worked on several political campaigns, including Obama 2012, Charlie Crist 2014, and Andrew Gillum 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Economics and MA in Political Science. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He is an avid board game player and reader of science fiction.
