Swati is a third year medical student at Harvard Medical School. She was born and raised in Dehradun, a beautiful city in the foothills of the Himalayas in India, and moved to the United States for college. She attended Johns Hopkins University, where she fell in love with sociology, public health, and Baltimore and stayed for a Masters of Science in Public Health. Through many experiences working with children and families in both India and Baltimore, she developed a strong admiration for pediatrics and community health. To this end, she aspires to develop her professional career around efforts to mitigate the impact of psychosocial adversity on the health and well-being of vulnerable children and their families, particularly in South Asia. She loves music and has been singing since the age of six. She also enjoys watching sunsets, going on long walks, and sharing stories with loved ones and strangers alike over several cups of tea.
