Umair is an Ed.M International Education Policy student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is the co-founder of Quva, a standardized test preparation firm based in Lahore, Pakistan. Still early in his career in education, he is trying to figure out the best way in which he can help alleviate the educational crisis in his home country Pakistan. He is particularly interested in teacher training, curriculum design and model schools. Umair is a passionate teacher, who enjoys playing soccer, reading books and listening to music during free time. He is also a food lover; particularly, he loves trying new kinds of ice-creams and desserts. Umair likes to travel to new places and meet new people, with a particular interest in the languages, histories and cultures of different places. Lately, he has also started to develop an interest in philosophy and religion. Umair has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, and he loves doing math!
