Yiqi Zhao is a Master in Design Studies candidate in the concentration of Technology at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is from Hangzhou, China. Her background is architecture, art, digital fabrication, computational design, digital media, and communication studies. Her current interests include responsive environment, user interface, smart material, sensor wearables, HCI, and brain events. Her vision is to encourage ownership of a space, meaning that users can touch, interact, and respond to space to develop an emotional memory of their experience. She believes that the revolution of living can be accomplished through multidisciplinary research, new technologies, and new fabrication methods that consider the human experience in transforming critical issues from the real world into design solutions. During her free time, she loves swimming, dancing, diving, photography, and many other outdoor activities.
